Terms of Service

Last updated 28 August 2026

These terms are a contract between you and PW App Development Limited (company number 14108044, trading as Rival Radar, “we”, “us”) covering your use of rivalradar.me and your account (“the service”). By creating an account or otherwise using the service, you agree to them. If you're using Rival Radar on behalf of a business, you're confirming you have the authority to bind that business to these terms. Questions? Email support@rivalradar.me.

What Rival Radar does

Rival Radar periodically checks publicly accessible web pages and business listings you specify, and notifies you when it detects a meaningful change. Changes are explained using an AI-generated summary. That summary is a best-effort aid, not a guarantee of accuracy, so always check the underlying before/after detail for anything you plan to act on. We don't guarantee that every change will be detected, or that a detected change will always be correctly summarised or categorised.

Eligibility and your account

  • You must be at least 18, and able to form a binding contract, to use Rival Radar.
  • You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure, and for all activity that happens under your account.
  • You must provide accurate information when you sign up, and keep it up to date.
  • You're responsible for what you add to be watched under your account, and for how you act on the information Rival Radar gives you.
  • Tell us straight away at support@rivalradar.me if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Rival Radar to:

  • Watch pages you don't have a legitimate business reason to monitor.
  • Access, scrape, or monitor a site in a way that breaches that site's own terms of use, robots.txt, or applicable law. You're solely responsible for making sure the pages you ask us to watch are lawful for you to monitor.
  • Attempt to abuse, overload, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the service or its infrastructure.
  • Resell, sublicense, or provide the service to others as your own.
  • Use the service for anything unlawful, fraudulent, or that infringes someone else's rights.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that misuse the service, with or without notice depending on severity.

Your content, and third-party content

You keep ownership of the competitor names, notes, and other information you add to your account (“your content”). You grant us a licence to store and process it solely to provide the service to you.

Watched pages, and any snapshots or diffs we generate from them, are drawn from publicly accessible third-party websites we don't own or control. We don't claim any ownership over that third-party content, and we're not responsible for its accuracy, legality, or availability.

Intellectual property

Rival Radar (the software, design, and branding) is our property (or our licensors'). These terms don't grant you any rights to it beyond what's needed to use the service as intended.

Plans, billing, and payment

  • The free plan includes a limited number of competitors, watched pages, and check frequency, described on our pricing page.
  • Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, as selected) via Stripe, and renew automatically until cancelled.
  • Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. Cancelling a paid plan takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You keep access until then, and won't be charged again after.
  • If you're an individual consumer (rather than signing up on behalf of a business) based in the UK or EU, you have a statutory right to cancel a new paid subscription within 14 days for a full refund. If you ask us to start the service immediately and use it before the 14 days are up, you may lose this right once the service has been fully performed, or we may reduce any refund in proportion to what you've already used.
  • We may change our prices or plans; if we do, we'll give existing subscribers reasonable notice before it takes effect on their next renewal. We'll never charge a free account without your agreement.

Availability and changes to the service

We aim to keep Rival Radar reliable, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted availability, or that every check will succeed, since some target sites block or rate-limit automated requests, which is outside our control. We may add, change, or remove features over time as the product evolves.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms, if required by law, or if we reasonably believe it's necessary to protect the service or other users. You can stop using Rival Radar and delete your account at any time (see Ending your account below). On termination, your right to use the service ends immediately; sections that by their nature should survive (ownership, disclaimers, liability, governing law) continue to apply.

No warranty, limitation of liability

Rival Radar is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including business decisions made based on a detected change or its AI-generated summary. Where liability can't be excluded by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the service, your content, or your breach of these terms, including any claim brought against us by a third party whose site you asked us to monitor in breach of the acceptable use section above.

Ending your account

You can stop using Rival Radar and ask us to delete your account at any time by emailing support@rivalradar.me, or from the Danger Zone in Settings. If you have an active paid subscription, deleting your account cancels it immediately. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms.

General

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in full effect. These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between us about the service. We're not liable for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control (including outages at the providers we rely on to run the service). We may update these terms as the product evolves; we'll update the date above when we do, and let you know directly about any material change. Continuing to use Rival Radar after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any dispute that can't be resolved informally will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
